This was a pretty good time, mainly because it was free. Tickets came via 102.1 The Edge for Pina's birthday bash party at The Sound Academy.

The night started with a new indie band The Box Tigers. They did a lot better than I could ever do but really need to clean up their sound before they can make it main stream.

The second band was amazing, The Sheep Dogs from Saskatchewan. This band not only talks the talk but also walks the walk. They have an awesome classic rock sound and play it way it was meant to be played, HARD! Their name is fitting as every member in the band has shaggy long hair, beards and believe it or not they were not wearing skinny jeans! Like to hear more from them in the future.

On to Free Energy. Lots of energy, plenty of awesome music but what's with the hair? This band really got the crowd going but you couldn't help but laugh when the crowd started chanting "Bieber! Bieber!" at the lead singer who looked like he could be his older brother. Great music.

Hollerado! First, being a developer, I'd have to say they have the coolest website I've seen since the 90's. From start to end was full of energy, the lead spending a large part of the show standing on my head did a great job and many times he abandoned his mic in the crowd allowing others to belt out Juliet and other songs. I admit I had my hand around the mic for a bit and those poor people paid the price. I'm excited to see them again, maybe Edge Fest 2011.
